So I bagged myself and my exchange pal from Bucks a weeks internship at digital agency Konstellation today.
They was willing go give us a two week intern but we only have a week off uni! We are already work 12 hour days at the uni here. Dour in the intern week we will be working on 2 live briefs, now its second year we are really getting a taste of the ad world is like. 9 - 5 at the agency then back to school to work on the other brief till the early hours, well thats the plan.
Now your probably thinking how did I get this. Well you always hear the term its not what you know, it who you know. That phrase places a big roll in the industry, because it is very true. To get into this agency, just like most, you have to know somebody.
And off course you have probably guessed, I knew some one. That person was Phillp Bock from the creative pair Bockschmidt with morgen Schmidt lately they have been making a lot of noise, not only in Denmark but in London. The pair came to study as exchanged students at my home uni Bucks, now I am study at theres for a semester.
I knew we had this week off, and a knew lads had sone good contacts, so I messaged Philip. It was quite cheeky of me to asked, because I had barley spoke to the guy, but you don’t ask you don’t get hey.
He was happy to help, he spoke to Creative Director Thomas Pries telling him I want some experience, Thomas we willing to talk. We exchanged emails, and the same day Thomas invited me to the agency the next day, I sat down with him and (copy writer) Benjamin Bang, we had a brief chat. They both said I was a nice guy and see you Monday.
It all happened so fast, and went so well. But Bockschmid are a lot more advance that myself and Max, more tech savvy and a lot more year experience in different sectors. Its not like we wouldn’t give 110% but it going to be a change to produce the standard like them, I want to be remembered for good reasons and good work. That is what I strive to do.
I’ll keep you updated with posts next week, stay tuned. Peace and love, peace and love.
